A stunning vintage, engraved mother of pearl disc which probably belonged to my great aunt. It is double sided and very thin so wrapped in a prong setting with ivory seed beads around the side.
The peacock is crafted in wire, the eye is a black spinel and rainbow coated pyrite forms the body which is further decorated with bronze seed beads. The tail is a real feather which has been hand beaded.
A large tree of life pendant with tiger eye gemstone chips.
Gold plated wire is expensive and often not hard wearing so I use it infrequently. Pure gold is beyond most budgets, however, gold filled is an option if you require a less expensive but quality alternative to solid gold.
Gold filled wire is composed of a solid layer of gold, which must constitute at least 5% of the item's total weight, mechanically bonded to sterling silver or a base metal. The terms ‘rolled gold plate’ and ‘gold overlay’ may be used if the layer of gold constitutes less than 5% of the item's weight.
A beautiful amethyst agate oval cabochon with gorgeous banded markings.
I love this crazy lace agate in reds and greys. It is accented with garnet rondelles.
This rainbow titanium coated quartz did not need enhancing!
